The Crinan Canal | Ardrishaig To Crinan
The Crinan Canal, designed and engineered by Thomas Telford stretches from Ardrishaig, opening into Loch Fyne, to Crinan, opening into the Crinan Basin.
Many people like to walk along the canal up to Cairnbaan where there is a hotel and restaurant, and to see some of the stunning scenery that stretches from end to end.
There are many locks along the canal, during the late spring and summer months these are in use as various boats and their crews travel up and down the waterway.
