Loch Fyne - The Seafood Trail
The Seafood Trail Starts At Loch Fyne
For a number of years, Scotland has put together many trails across the country for the benefits of tourists and visitors including the widely recognised whisky trail. During the last few years the now established and recognised Seafood Trail is a collection of high quality, and somewhat exclusive eating establishments and associated accommodation across the west coast of Scotland.
An accompanying book written by Carole Fitzgerald, a good friend, From Crabshack To Oyster Bar, is available to buy from most good bookstores and gives you a good idea of what the trail is about, worth a read and it is full of character.
Loch Fyne Oyster Bar - Cairndow
The original establishment of the now national Loch Fyne Restaurant chain is a member of the unique Scottish Seafood Trail since its conception a number of years ago and continues to be an advocate for Scottish seafood and shellfish, particularly promoting Loch Fyne produce.

Seafood Cabin - Skipness
Although technically Skipness is not in Loch Fyne, it is only an 8 mile walk or a 30 minute slow drive from Tarbert and is placed just by where Loch Fyne joins the Kilbrannan Sound. The outdoor Seafood Cabin serves seafood snacks and lunch food by the foot of Skipness Castle with great views across to Arran.
The Seafood Cabin does not currently have a website. Please visit the official Seafood Trail website which is linked at the bottom of this page.
Dunvalanree - Carradale
Once again, slightly off the beaten track south of Loch Fyne and on the peninsula of Kintyre, Dunvalanree is a well groomed establishment that offers relaxed quality accommodation with very good food indeed, we certainly recommend it.
